Mount Toubkal-Morocco

Mount Toubkal winter climb is one of the most superb adventures holiday you will have during the European winter months, at only a few hours flight to Morocco. Spend your full days adventure trekking in the snowy magnificence of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco and summiting Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and in North Africa at a towering (4167m).

Travelling in a small group with Mount Toubkal expert mountain guide, this is serious trekking using crampons and ice axe picks and, although you will receive training in winter walking, a good level of fitness is required.

The expedition starts in the Mountain village of Imlil, the gateway to the Atlas Mountains, the first accommodation is in a berber house(Berber tea House), giving you time to Acclimatise and take in the Mountain magnificence. An adventure like this can be designed to fit over a 6 day trip.
Land in Marrakesh and spend the night in this wonderful city. Sample the delights of the world famous Jamaa al-Fanaa. Then its off to Imlil to start your trek. Spend the evening of day 2 at the Toubkal Refuge (The Berber tea house). Summit Toubkal on day 3 and then return to Imlil. Spend your last day or two inn Marrakesh before you fly home.

Day 1 

Transfer from marrakech airport to riad 

Day 2

Transfer from marrakech to imlil 

Start hiking to bestcamp 

Sleep in bestcamp 

Day 3 

Climbing Ouanoukrim Elevation: 4,089 m

Come back to bestcamp 

Day 4 

Climbing toubkal 4,167m

And come back to aroumd imlil sleep in Guesthouses in imlil. 

Day 5 

Come back to marrakech 

Transfer to marrakech.

Transfer to marrakech airport.

For a winter summit of Toubkal we recommend a very good level of fitness. A good diet and training prior to coming out to Morocco is highly recommended.
