Event Details

Start at the Pen-Y-Pass car park on the east side of the mountain. With a café and toilets and secure car parking, it is a perfect starting point.

Climb the Pyg Track to where the path meets up with the climb up to Crib Goch.

Rising up over 900m walk and climb along the one of the best ridge walks in the UK. Considered a Grade 1/2 scramble but can be more lively with more inclement weather.

Summit Snowdon, also known in the local language as Yr Wydfa, at 1085m. Take a stop at the summit café and enjoy the views.

Once relaxed enjoy a spectacular scramble over the South Ridge. Either scramble over the top of it and enjoy some breathtakingly exposed views or walk along it just under the top of it.

Work your way down to Llyn Llydaw, where local legend tells of King Arthurs famed sword Excalibur emerging from this lake. Then an easy walk down to Pen-Y-Pass car park, affording fantastic views along the way.
